I HAD A DREAM!

I had a Dream!

In these days I had a dream
I had a dream, a dreamy one
I teach a class, a choosy one
Teaching is a dream I dream

Dream was funny, not that so
Class was classy, not that so
Young and old, not that so
Grave and silly, not that so

Dull and bright, not that so
Sad and jolly, not that so
Calm and cheery, not that so
Sat in leisure, for a fun or pun

The sessions on, in my known ways
I took classes, they laughed in buzz
When I closed, they chucked at other
‘Let’s work it out’ – I said at last

I gave them all a blank to fill
In a verse that told a tale that past
The blank could grow, as it wished
Yet, a word would go, I gave a clue

Some pulled hair, some looked out
Some tried all, some just slept
Some looked on, some went out
Some went home, some still stayed,

Some came up, with words so odd
I just smiled, smile comes quick
They just sat, my smile kept on
We did all, could you say?

A word I tattooed on my fore
‘Certain’ was the word of course
A fool I am, never did know
The dreamt can-not ever see

A dreamer in her fancy dreams!

Dream on, such educating, and entertaining dreams!!!

I liked that class, and I liked the emotion, and the "certain", and uncertainty of which intrigues!! :)

Nice one, Devika!

One's dreams may not be seen by others, but you can show others the dreams they have inside--I feel you would be good at doing that!
This is a very enjoyable post!

Hi Webradio!

Thank you for coming and the comment!

Your 'old' secretary seems very efficient...so fast, but 'hopefully' she was correct with the spellings...;)

to me this 'Good... for You' is a rude comment..but as said all comments will be taken wellin the right spirits!

btw, i just read about your 'hearing' your dad..in memories or do spirits talk with you...sounded interesting to me....

anyway, thanks again!

Hi Kai!

my dear, do not I know you?? dreaming pinky girl? :))

Michael Jackson turned a Muslim..MIKAEEL..any thoughts on that, Kai

I think though he did that with a personal interest following a case by a Sheikh in London..he did GOOD...

for the larger humanity, such conversions help..atleast his fans will not hate Muslims now...or would they choose to KILL him ??

who knows the ways of this mad world!!

BUT, i feel with half Muslim Barack Obama as US president and MJ turned a Muslim...world terrorism should take a back seat...even otherwise, who will fund Terrorism now..the World is into a recession, they say

just my thoughts there....

see you soon, Kai dear

Hi Firebird!

Thank you for coming and the comment, my bird...

I do not really know what I'm good at...YET, I keep trying...
If you 'feel' that I am good at showing others the dreams they have inside ...MAY BE I'm JUST GOOD for that!! :-)

as you say, my dear bird...
but for a mail from you one day...I wouldn't be this alive to talk with you..I JUST KNOW THAT!:)

Glad that you found this enjoyable...:)

Charming, I could see this poem
as an illustrated child's book.

Devika said...

Hi Cynthia,

Thank you for coming and the comment...

You are free to take it the way you like, Cynthia :)

Writing and illustrating for children's books was a dream i once cherished...left it, because my illustrations are not upto the mark i thought....

anyway, nice to have your comment :)

Is it children you would like to teach Devika? In what area would you like to teach? That is such an honorable profession - one I know I would not be good at.
I like your poem. Where would we be without our dreams? Whether they come true or not they always give us hope and sometimes a lesson or two. :)

Devika said...

Hi Janice!

Thank you for coming and the comment, Janice!

Yeah i like to teach children, And i'm already doing that during my free hours..

Normally for smaller kids -- i hold story/poem/riddle sessions..and that's during their school holidays...

For the undergraduates -- I teach physics, chemistry and occasionally mathematics...oh yes, English too...

Yeah dreams are a way to life for me -- whether they teach lessons to me, or I teach children a lesson or two! :)

Glad you like the poem...
and thanks again ...

see you later there..

it would have been interesting to have been in that classroom. :)

Devika said...

Hi Andrew!

Thank you for coming and the 'interesting' comment :)

do teachers -- lawyer turned teachers -- sit in a classroom by an engineering-cum-law graduate's class room?

anyway, need to see i got any lessons to teach or excercises to give...if I do, i'll let you know..and would wish to have your opinion :)

thank you for coming, Andrew..

PS: i told Venus that I'll not be teaching again with blogs..in some frenzy...on a second thought, with new kids joining how can a teacher stop teaching, if he/she BE a teacher..

Devika Ma'am

This is very well written! It came as a very good read.

Good dream, even better to have translated it into sentences!

Cheers

(my typos are going to have me one day! :)))

Hi Rak!

Again callin me Ma'am, saying cheers with a comment not so cheery :-)

chalo, you are my smart bacha, no?
Rak, seriously, hope things are fine ..you don't seem the same Rak again..

and since you stepped back from becoming the first to comment on my blogs..my time took a toss..up in the air for a good while...

anyway, safely landed..God knows how!

NOW, the comment..i was ready to accept all thrones..but since I said that the stones became like pebbles...do we get hurt with pebbles...i HOPE not..

"Good dream, even better to have translated it into sentences" -- that interests me...

You know why, this was my attempt to churn a 'poem' in a vending machine in 30 minutes...the vending machines got stuck, the power went off..and it finally took 1 hour and 40 minutes..

sentences in poem -- what are they called? i read it commonly...anyway that too is a verse they say...

SO, YOUR comment suggests my attempt failed!? :-))

no issues -- such comments have a positive spirit behind...and I take just that :)

btw, HOPE you too would take my last comment at your post last night..in that same positive spirit..and you should write seriously..not just those that come your way...

How could you assume such negative thoughts Rak -- was i so bad??

give a good smile back Rak..that's an order from you Ma'am..the last time that i would accept you calling me so...

very intriguing, and captivating, I just don't like the 'not that so' without it, it would flow beautifully, but I'm guessing you know that!

Devika said...

Hi Lorraine...

thank you for coming and the comment! :)

you guess things right, you know :)

but certain things are to be there...it came on its own, just that i didn't stop/edit it :)

thanks again, Lorraine

i don't believe that mike turned to muslim..
thats bull crap....
he has a bible and believes in Christ...
that's the press talking!
anyways, he was being sued for something...

Devika said...

Hi Kai...

Yeah Kai,could be a media ploy...but I doubt if the media will be inturn sued by MJ for such a news if that's false...
anyway, thats for MJ to decide...

those were just my thoughts, after i read the paper..if you are not happy about it, leave it dear...

anyway, let God and Religion not be a subject of debate between us...

Be happy!

love,
devika

I remember reading or hearing that frued said dreams are manifestation of inner thoughts and wishes or something like that. It is a manifestation our brain to keep a balance and give a energy to chase the treasure at the end its colourless rainbow it dreamt. Your dream sound to me not so much a dream but an unfullfilled wish thats my first impression when reading this certain kind of woman. when i read it second time minus the others flow pattern while writting this dream poem, it only sows jealousy in me. When will i be able to try attempting some thing like this if not like this something near to it. ?

This a poem I choose to laugh at -- laugh so loudly at!

SO, your comment makes me laugh all the more...

Freud, Jung and the likes' eccentric thoeries are past me! in fact long back...:)

Yet, for the fun of it I keep dreaming...let me see where it takes..
